After looking through my most recent Facebook profile pictures, I see a few ways in how I might contribute to big data. I chose my third most recent picture because I feel that most data could be collected from it. This photo was taken at a cheerleading competition located at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center back in March of 2015. This location was also shared when posting the photo. This photo obviously gives away what university I attend and what sport I am apart of at that university. I often find cheerleading companies target me for clothing pieces advertised on Facebook.<\/p>\n

Another thing I noticed is that many of my profile pictures are of me with other people. So it is possible that either one of us in my photo could be getting targeted advertising. The next photo is my current Facebook profile picture. I could easily get targeted for my clothing. They could probably determine my style from this one photo below. My entire outfit was purchased from a local boutique, and I find myself doing a lot of my shopping at boutiques. \u00a0If I saw an online boutique advertised from them targeting me, it would definitely catch my eye.<\/p>\n

Posting photos like these two allow easily targeted advertising for several companies. In the end, the companies would benefit from posting ads that would relate from these two photos since cheerleading and fashion are both things I have interest in.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
